I played a key role in the design and development of iOS app features to engage students, including posts, likes, proximity-based locations, and mapping. I transitioned from working on frontend UI to the backend system in order to optimize for speed and server-based tools like push notifications, getting a comprehensive understanding of fullstack app infrastructure.

An R-CNN is a type of machine learning algorithm called a regional convolutional neural network. I worked on a team to implement the first version of a physics-assisted object detection R-CNN algorithm in the Pytorch framework. We were able to prove that using kinematics to predict object paths would boost the accuracy of object detection.
